Celtic Circle-Dawn-05 is a photgraphic image taken of the Celtic Circle Pat Bullen-Whatling created as a piece of land art specifically for the National Trust, Newton House, Parc Dinefwr Park, Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire in West Wales. This natural, digital image was created at, or just after, dawn on a fine Welsh autumnal morning. Pat used willow wands, cut on the Dinefwr Estate, to weave a fantasy door to the otherworld; a mystical, mysterious window that displays the famous ancient woodlands and the rising sun of the dawn from one aspect and the man-made vista of the deer park, the distant folly of Paxton's Tower on its lofty hill and the setting sun in the opposite direction.
These fine art prints are wonderful when seen in large format and close up; the raindrops and other details really come to life then and form a picture that is, at the same time, both calming and mystical.

To the lady or gentleman from Seattle, WA. Thank you for visiting my gallery so many times to view this image. It's delightful to see that it has the power to move people. Creating this Celtic Circle was a real labour of love for me. It was the very first piece of open air land-art I was privileged to have commissioned by the National Trust in Wales (UK) and I loved every moment of it. The weather remained fine, which was not guaranteed here in Wales, and the public reaction to it was beyond my expectations. It was only supposed to stand for about two weeks, as part of an art display they had there, but it was so loved that it remained in situ for several months before the National Trust took it indoors for safekeeping.
